It has successfully passed an "all night" run of MemTest86. The new computer is perfectly stable (doesn't crash and I don't have to reboot it) and runs very cool. Since this computer can't complete any video processing project, I have another, slower computer successfully working on the same project, with the same settings, and same software. I have run these tools on several other computers (for speed, distributed computing) with no problems at all. I have never had any problems with any of these tools until I got this computer. I get exactly the same error, inside of the virtual machine. I even tried running the software inside of a virtual machine running Windows 8.1 Preview. When I do that, VirtualDub usually crashes in x264 instead again, with an access violation error. The AviSynth folks said to add "SetMemoryMax" to the AviSynth script. The problem is, I can't seem to get my video processing software (VirtualDub + AviSynth + x264) to function for very long before VirtualDub crashes, usually with an access violation error in AviSynth. Please find a fix aning redo the program so that it works.Back in October, I bought a computer from eBay for video processing and editing. I don't think you guys are handling it the right way. I am totally frustrated by this whole dilemma. Maybe you can create an update that worked like the previous version.I don't know. The entire program needs to be re-written. You guys need to come up with a fix.not rely on users to come up with it for you. I do know it doesn't work.many people have experienced the same issue. I don't know what it is.I'm not a programmer. The bottom line is that the updated version of Video Converter has a problem. I have never been asked to make changes like the ones described here.

If there is a problem, they workout a solution & provide it to me. I've purchased programs from other vendors. You should be looking at the program very intensly. My "codecs didn't cause the problem.the updated version caused it. I've tried to follow the directions provided in this forum but have had no luck. I have no idea what codecs, what they do, where they reside on my computer, or how to either register or un-register them. Please understand that I'm just a guy that bought a program that could convert video files from one format to another. Hello: I'm still getting the eaccesserror.
